Welcome to the Flame Shop at Terrapin Glassblowing Studio!

Create your own collection of tiny glass ornaments on the torch in this one-hour beginner flameworking class! Using pre-made glass “points,” you’ll learn how to add color, heat the glass, and blow and shape tiny bubbles at your own torch. No prior experience is necessary, but this is a challenging, hands-on class and that’s part of the fun! Your ornaments will be unique and wonderfully imperfect.

During class, you’ll spend the first 10 minutes going over safety and watching a demonstration, then approximately 50 minutes learning how to add color and blow and shape your tiny glass ornaments.

After class, the instructor will remove the finished bubbles from the glass points and add metal hooks so your creations are ready to hang.

Cost: $125 per person

Age Requirements:

  • Ages 18+

Class Details:

  • Limited to 2 students per session
  • Studio is private—only registered participants are allowed in the studio during class.
  • Your glass will not be ready to take home that same day.
  • We recommend signing up for shipping at the same time as booking your class.
  • If you live locally and would like to pick up your glass, it will be ready 48 hours after your class ends. Please use our pick-up calendar to schedule a date and time.
  • If your glass is not picked up within two weeks of your class, it will be recycled.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Payments are non-refundable.
  • Reschedule with 48+ hours’ notice (via email).
  • If you’re sick or the weather is an issue, email us by 9:00 AM the day of class to reschedule.
  • No-shows or late cancellations forfeit payment.

79 Hadley Road, Jaffrey—enter at the first door on the blue side of the building. Wheelchair and ramp accessible through an alternate entrance. Just give us a call when you arrive!
